Welcome to Kentfield/Ross
Situated at the northern end of Mt. Tamalpais, Kentfield and adjacent Ross, are upscale communities with a rural feel in central Marin.
Kentfield is an unincorporated area of Marin County nestled at the base of Mt. Tamalpais between Larkspur and Ross along Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, anchored by the College of Marin—a vibrant community college—and the popular Woodlands Market. The area is upscale and mostly residential, with many large homes on generous, flat lots.
Ross was one of the first towns in California to regulate tree cutting and with strict regulations on building, Ross has managed to retain its natural beauty, with tree-lined streets and several serene lakes accessed by public trails. A perfect balance of charm and sophistication, it’s an idyllic setting for both the Lagunitas Country Club as well as the Marin Art and Garden Center. The downtown, while offering just a handful of the essential amenities, is postcard perfect.
